My Dear Billie
As part of a multidisciplinary university commission for Imperial War Museums North’s Big Picture Show, I designed and produced an immersive audiovisual sound experience inspired by archival material exploring the realities of war and conflict through unconventional storytelling. Drawing from the private letters and illustrated cartoons of a serving soldier writing to his son, “My Dear Billie”, the project aimed to highlight the deeply personal and often overlooked human side of wartime experience. I was responsible for the full musical and sonic direction of the piece, creating a detailed surround sound composition tailored specifically to the challenges and scale of the exhibition space while working collaboratively to professional deadlines and production standards.
